Our Client, a Market Leader in Hospitality urgently seeks to recruit talented Head Chef with experience in designing and preparing high-end cuisine.

He/she will be the first in command in the Kitchen and will create and inspect dishes before they arrive at the customers ensuring high quality and contentment.

We’re looking for a professional who is dedicated to food quality and set high standards for their output and other matters by performing the following duties;

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Control and direct the food preparation process and any other relative activities
  • Construct menus with new or existing culinary creations ensuring the variety and quality of the servings
  • Plan orders of equipment or ingredients according to identified shortages
  • Remedy any problems or defects
  • Be fully in charge of hiring, managing and training kitchen staff
  • Oversee the work of subordinates
  • Estimate staff’s workload and compensations; Establish the working schedule and organize the work in the kitchen so that everything works like a “well-oiled machinery”
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • Foster a climate of cooperation and respect between co-workers
  • Produce high quality dishes that follow up the established menu and level up to location’s standards, as well as to clients’ requirements
  • Plan the food design in order to create a perfect match between the dish’s aspect and its taste;
  • Train the auxiliary kitchen staff in order to provide best results in minimum time and using at the maximum the available resources
  • Developing a cross-marketing strategy in order to increase profit, such as pairing drinks with the food served

Key Competencies & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Culinary Arts or any other related field from a recognized institution
  • Must have 10 years’ culinary experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant
  • Proven experience as Head Chef
  • Exceptional proven ability of Kitchen Management
  • Knowledge of best practices for training kitchen staff and implementing kitchen procedures
  • High level of creativity and reliability
  • Flexible schedule required
  • Leadership Skills
  • Creative
  • Hand-Eye Coordination
  • Familiarity with menu costing procedures
  • Possess multitasking ability for getting several tasks done with a short period
